RHL K.I.D.S. MINISTRY

Red Hill Lutheran Church offers a K.I.D.S. Ministry Program for all children, Kindergarten through 5th Grade, during our DiscipleU Educational Hour, 9:00am-10:15am in the K.I.D.S. Zone.

Using a combination of large group and small group conversations and activities, we intentionally strive to create an engaging environment where children come to Know Jesus, Impact the world around them, become Disciples of Jesus, and Serve others - K.I.D.S.! All kids are invited to join us, regardless of church affiliation.

WHAT WE ARE TEACHING IN MAY

"ONE SMALL STEP"

A TEACHING SERIES ON THE EARLY CHURCH

Astronaut Neil Armstrong once said landing on the moon was “one small step for man.” The biggest adventures start in such a simple way — especially when it comes to space! Asteroids, distant planets, and brand new galaxies await us once we leave earth’s atmosphere. Being the first to explore such uncharted territory can be intimidating. In this four-week series, we’ll take a look at the Book of Acts to learn from the first Christians. Through their stories of faith and bravery, kids will learn how to take the first step of believing in Jesus, the next step of praying for others, and an even bigger step of trusting the Holy Spirit. But they won’t want to skip the last step of telling others about Jesus.

We look forward to all of the kids joining us during our Sunday morning DiscpleU Educational Hour, 9:15am-10:00am. (Check-In Begins at 9:00am)

  • MAY PHILANTHROPY: ORANGE COUNTY RESCUE MISSION

Throughout the month of May, Red Hill Lutheran Church and School is partnering with Orange County Rescue Mission (OCRM). This month's chapel offerings will go toward purchasing snacks for the kids who live at and are served by OCRM. At the end of the month, our RHL students will be putting together goodie bags of snacks for the kids as part of our Field Day rotations. Click here if you would like more information on the services and programs OCRM offers our community.

  • NEW FAMILY RESOURCE: "GOD MADE ME FOR WORSHIP"

We love seeing our famiies worshipping together! In an effort to encourage, support and partner with our families, we are providing a book called, "God Made Me For Worship."

Understanding the different parts of a worship service can be confusing. One minute everyone is singing loudly, the next everyone is sitting and listening quietly. Sometimes the adults know something that should be said out loud like, “Thanks be to God!” How did they know what to say? What is communion all about? Why does the pastor raise his hands and pray at the end of the service?

This bright and colorful children’s book celebrates how God reveals himself to his people in the movements of worship. All the parts of worship tell the story of the gospel, and since Jesus is the object of our worship, his story of redemption gives shape to our worship. The author of this book guides parents to help their kids understand why we’re intentional about worship, encouraging them to engage—not just to manage behavior during a worship gathering, and invites children to respond to God along with the whole church body.

Itzel has served on our Children's Ministry Team in a variety of roles since 2020. Currently, she serves as RHL's Children's Ministry Coordinator and 2nd Grade Small Group Leader. While Itzel is a YFM leader on nights and weekends, she is a scientist and healthcare provider by day.
